The Sky Also Hesitates explores the quiet kinship between the emotional landscape and the natural one. The painting suggests that restlessness is not ours alone- even the sky shifts, stirs, and hesitates. Within that shared imperfection lies a gentle sense of companionship.
Memory, place, and internal worlds through abstraction.
My practice is rooted in place, memory, and relationship. Through abstract landscapes and animal portraiture, I translate lived experience into layered visual stories and the connections that shape us. I use sumi ink in place of black as a kuleana to my roots, honoring lineage and presence through material practice.
